McCOY FAMILY CHRISTMAS

Many children and youth that are living in low income single parent family homes miss out on Christmas. The McCoy Family Christmas program provides Christmas to these children. Gerald and Ebony have personally sponsored and hosted this program for this program for the last six years and hope to grow its impact this year.

McCOY SCHOOL ZONE

Many low-income, single-parents struggle to provide the necessary school supplies for their children. The Foundation will provide a McCoy School Zone branded locker filled with school supplies at local community partner organization facility.  The locker will be accessible year-round as an ongoing source of school supplies for single-parents and their children so they will be fully equipped to participate in the classroom with confidence and enthusiasm. The Foundation will provide funding for the management of an ongoing replenishment process of the school supplies.

McCOY FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT

This annual program provides an exclusive and encouraging family outing for single-parents and their children. Gerald and Ebony will host a private, first-class screening of a Hollywood movie premiere for 400 single-parent family members.

IMPACT

Currently, the Gerald McCoy’s Patricia Diane Foundation serves low-income single parents and their children throughout the McCoy Family’s communities throughout Tampa Bay, Dallas, Oklahoma, and Las Vegas.

NEED

Approximately 26% of children in the U.S. are being raised in single-parent households. In Florida alone, 79% of households headed by single mothers face ongoing poverty.

WHY?

Gerald’s mother (Patricia Diane McCoy) passed away suddenly and unexpectedly while Gerald was a freshman at the University of Oklahoma. Gerald knows first-hand what it is like to live with just one parent.
